New USD 475 eFlyers System!

I am so happy to announce the launch of the new Geary County Schools USD 475 eFlyer system “eFlyers.usd475.org.” This new custom built website was originally part of my team’s long-term plan for communications in the district, however, due to the speed at which we were able to build it the site went live today. eFlyers will soon be found through links on each of our school’s websites.

This new eFlyers system provides several features designed to make receiving event and program information easier. By clicking on the calendars tab you’ll be able to easily add the events of your choice to your own personal calendar. We have also gone steps further to organize and tag these eFlyers in a way that makes them easier to sort or sift through. This website is optimized for use on a mobile screen and offers the ability to subscribe to RSS feeds giving you up-to-date notifications on new digital flyers that could impact students in the district.

Our new Community eFlyers section gives our community partners the ability to distribute information in the district without incurring the high cost of paper flyer printing. This service is offered to our community free of charge. A full list of guidelines and instructions on how to submit an eFlyer for distribution on this website are located in the above website menu.

This new in-house system allows the district to better integrate our event and program flyers into our online umbrella and the things coming up this year in Communications are truly exciting! My team and I want to thank you for your patience and cooperation as we phase out Peachjar as our eFlyer service provider. Most digital flyers currently on the Peachjar service and all new flyers from today forward are listed on this new “eFlyers.usd475.org” website. Peachjar links will remain on our district and school websites for the next 30-60 days as we phase out that service (no new flyers will be posted to Peachjar).

Since April the district and our schools have saved the equivalent of over 400,000 sheets of paper by going digital. We hope to continue saving paper and the cost of printing through this our new eFlyers website.

Parents, staff, and community members wishing to receive updates of new eFlyers will need to subscribe to the appropriate RSS Feed. We have provided information on RSS Feeds above and the RSS feed links can be found in the sidebar to the right of this page under the “Category Specific RSS” section. Emails from Peachjar will no longer be sent as that service is phased out.
